Romania Registered Over 2,000 Babies With Mothers Aged 11-15 In 2007

Statistics indicate 15 year-olds had the most babies, namely 1,473, while 14 year-olds had 464 children, 13 year-olds had 83 children, 12 year-olds had 14 children and one 11 year-old had a child.

Also in 2007, according to the statements of health minister Eugen Nicolaescu end June, girls aged up to 12 had 535 abortions.

In 2006, Romania registered 1,942 babies whose mothers were aged 11 to 15.
