Romania Registers 3,551 AH1N1 Infections, Six Deaths
Romania has registered 124 new infections with the AH1N1 flu virus over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 3,551, and six people with the illness have died, the Health Ministry said Thursday.

The patient who died over the past 24 hours was also suffering from chronic bronchitis.
According to the Health Ministry, Dambovita county registered 17 cases of infection with the AH1N1 virus, capital city Bucharest (15 cases), Mures and Hunedoara (12 cases each), Vrancea (9 cases), Dolj and Botosani (8 cases each), Alba, Iasi and Suceava (5 cases each), Calaras, Cluj and Galati (3 cases each), Arad, Bihor, Olt, Sibiu and Ilfov (2 cases each), Arges, Bacau, Brasov, Constanta, Covasna, Harghita, Prahova, Tulcea and Vaslui (1 case each).
Several schools countrywide suspended classes due to the AH1N1 infections confirmed over the past 24 hours.
