Romanian prosecutors on Monday brought formal criminal corruption charges against Dumitru Dragomir, head of the national football league LPF, the anticorruption department said in a statement.

Dragomir is suspected of bribe taking in a shady land exchange deal, the prosecutors said.
Alongside Dragomir, the prosecutors brought corruption charges against his son, Bogdan-Dumitru Dragomir, as well as the former president of FC National football club Gino Iorgulescu and Dragomir’s former chauffeurFlorin - Bogdan Badita.
The indictment is to be presented before the magistrates at the High Court of Justice.
