Romanian liberal deputy president Puiu Hasotti on Tuesday said the liberals might find it therapeutic to stay in opposition after four years of ruling, but that the country should continue managing the economic crisis under the leadership of Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu.

The National Liberal Party, or PNL, endorses Tariceanu in his endeavor to “continue the reforms and the program meant to counter the crisis,” Hasotti said.
 
As to the negotiations to form a new government, Hasotti said they are “more complicated than we think and simpler than you imagine.”
 
Romanian election authorities announced Tuesday the final result of the parliamentary election held Sunday and the country’s new Parliament will be formed of the social democrat and conservative alliance, democrat liberals, liberals, the Hungarian minority party and representatives of other national minorities.
