Romanian PM Voices Confidence In Partnership With Pres, MPs And Church
Speaking at the end of the investiture ceremony, Boc said the government must work with the civil society, trade unions and employers’ associations, and that the public interest is priority.
Boc said the government’s mission is to tackle the economic crisis, mentioning he will not sacrifice social measures “for the sake of the crisis.”
Boc’s new center-left government won a vote of confidence in parliament earlier Monday, with 324 votes in favor and 115 against.
The 21 members of the government pledged their oaths during a ceremony attended by President Traian Basescu.
