IMF Raises Forecast On Romania’s ’10 Inflation To 4%

The International Monetary Fund raised its forecast on Romania's annual inflation in 2010 by 0.4 percentage points to 4%, the institution's World Economic Outlook report showed Wednesday.

In 2011, the IMF expects consumer prices to grow by 3.1%.

Romania’s current account deficit is seen at 5.5% of the gross domestic product in both 2010 and 2011, slightly down than the fund’s previous forecast in October 2009.

The IMF revised downwards its forecast on Romania’s GDP growth in 2010 from 1.3% to 0.8%.
