Romanian Pupils Win Gold, Bronze At International Geography Olympiad
Romania’s team won two gold and one bronze medals at the International Geography Olympiad in Taiwan, which welcomed 108 contestants from 27 countries, Romania’s Education Ministry said Thursday.

Catalina Jugravescu, of the "Alexandru Lahovary" National College in Ramnicu Valcea, won the gold medal. Jugravescu won silver at last year's Olympiad.
Alexandru Barbu, of the "Ion Minulescu" National College in Slatina, also won gold, matching his performance at last year's Olympiad.
Constantin Popa, of the "Nicu Gane" National College in Falticeni, won the bronze medal.
The 9th edition of the International Geography Olympiad was held between July 29 and August 4 in Taiwan.
