Videanu said the democrat liberals will talk to the head of state during the evening, at the reception organized by Traian Basescu at the Cotroceni Palace on the occasion of the National Day.

"We are not yet thinking of starting negotiations. We are waiting for confirmation form the Central Electoral Office for the results of the elections and the attribution of mandates, after which we will be able to unfold the negotiation process," said Videanu in a press conference.

The democrat liberal official said he has not yet appointed a negotiation team for the party.

Asked if the democrat liberal leaders talked to president Traian Basescu when they attended the December 1 parade, Videanu replied: "We did not talk to him. We were too far away to hold a dialogue."

Videanu added the democrat liberals will appoint a committee of negotiators to hold talks on the creation of the next Government.
