Romania’s population declines in 2024. Aging process intensifies

Romania’s population on January 1, 2025, was 19,036,031 people, down by 31,500 compared with January 1, 2024, according to data released Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). The figures also show that the aging process of the population is deepening.
