The Romanian Ministry of Agriculture on Thursday sent a report to the European Commission on the progresses in the country’s agricultural payments system, to avoid sanctions from Brussels.

The European Commission is to make a decision on whether to activate the safeguard clause in the Romanian agriculture sector, most likely on November 27, 2007, Romania’s European Commissioner for Multilingualism Leonard Orban said Tuesday.
