Romanian President Traian Basescu summoned a meeting of the Supreme Defense Council, or CSAT, for Tuesday (August 12 – e.n.) on a subject yet to be announced, presidency sources said Monday.

Romanian foreign affairs minister Adrian Cioroianu said he would meet with prime minister Calin Tariceanu during the evening and added the Romanian consul in Warsaw might be recalled because of "discrepancies" occurring in his statements.
