Former Romanian President Ion Iliescu has been laid to rest

The funeral service for former Romanian President Ion Iliescu has ended. The coffin was lowered into the crypt while the national anthem was played and 21 gun salutes were fired, in accordance with the ceremony prescribed for state funerals.
