Romanian defense minister Mihai Stanisoara announced Friday the dismissal of the Air Force General Staff head Constantin Croitoru and the head of the counterintelligence chief of the General Staff, in the case of missing weapons from the military warehouse in Ciorogarla, near Bucharest.

The minister also fired air force counterintelligence head Maricel Popa, counterintelligence officer George Uta and air force resource chief Costel Tataru.
 
The head of the military policy service Marcu Plesanu, the head of the security and protections service within the General Staff Constantin Pupaza and the head of the General Staff counterintelligence and military security head Ion Ungureanu were also fired.
 
Minster Stanisoara said other people dismissed are the two corporals who were on guard at the warehouse, Cristian Radu and Nicolae Nita, the guard commander Marius Tudorache, platoon commander Alexandru Dinu, operations officer Ionel Cocoşatu, chief of battalion general staff Lucian Popa and battalion commander Catalin Berheciu.
 
The minster said the dismissals are administrative measures and military prosecutors and competent courts will establish who is to blame for the case.
