Romanian Senators OK Creation Of New Commission In Charge Of Revolutionary Certificates

The Romanian Senate adopted Tuesday an amendment to the law on gratitude toward martyr heroes of the 1989 Revolution, creating a new commission to certify the authenticity of revolutionaries’ certificates.

The amendment stipulates the creation of a new commission to certify the authenticity of revolutionaries’ certificates, to solve applications for the transfer of certificates and potential appeals.

The new commission will include three representatives of the Parliament commission of December 1989 revolutionaries, one representative f the Public Ministry, one prosecutor and a police inspector.

At the same time, the current parliament commission of revolutionaries will continue its activity.
