The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that it has taken a series of preventive measures in response to the floods that have affected several counties across the country. These measures include epidemiological monitoring, testing the quality of drinking water, and increasing medical resources.

Romania’s Prime Minister Emil Boc called on his Cabinet ministers to go to the areas affected by floods and urged prefects on vacation to go back to work immediately and take swifter measures to evacuate people affected by floods.
