Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, met on Tuesday, in Bucharest, with the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis. The discussions focused on European priorities in the field of fisheries and the needs of the Black Sea.

Romanian Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu said Thursday he wants fishing in the Danube Delta to continue only for touristic purposes, and be eliminated as an economic activity.
