Mircea Abrudean said that the situation regarding the appointment of the new Ombudsman should be clarified within the governing coalition so that there is no lack of coordination between the majority parties in the joint plenary session of Parliament.

Președintele României, Nicușor Dan, a declarat că are o opinie favorabilă despre propunerea USR pentru funcția de Avocat al Poporului, Roxana Rizoiu, dar a criticat mandatul actualei titulari, Renate Weber, acuzând-o că a apărat interesele „dezvoltatorilor imobiliari”, nu ale cetățenilor.
