Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc on Wednesday called for solidarity at European level to make possible the social inclusion of Roma people, including those of Romanian origin, and stressed the Romanian Government is working on a strategy that will be part of the European measures to this end.

Italian interior minister Roberto Maroni said Romanian President Traian Basescu did not object to the measures taken by the Italian Government towards the Roma camps and deemed “ungrounded” Romanian Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu’s objections.
