Over 80 localities in 17 Romanian counties were affected by the heavy rainstorms that occurred Wednesday and Thursday morning, which caused power outages, fell trees, caused fires and flooded people’s yards and basements, Romania’s General Emergency Inspectorate said Thursday.

Romanian meteorologists on Friday issued a yellow code warning for 39 out of 41 Romanian counties and capital Bucharest for cold weather come Friday night, expecting rain, hail and storms during the weekend.
