New rules governing the road transport of dangerous goods will apply in Romania starting Thursday, September 17th. The changes cover everything from mandatory documents and markings to the classification of violations and the measures that authorities may take during roadside inspections.

Nearly 200 transporters set fifty trucks on motion Sunday morning and headed for Bucharest’s Constitutiei Square where they organized a protest rally, as the Transports Ministry postponed signing the protocol eliminating road tolls and amending the laws regulating their activity.
