Romania Fixed-Line Operator Romtelecom Launches New Subscription

Romania’s fixed-line operator Romtelecom, majority-owned by Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (OTE), launched a new subscription that includes 50 minutes of international calls at a monthly price of EUR9.9, VAT not included.

The minutes can be used any day, at any time, for calls to fixed-line networks in EU states, as well as to fixed-line and mobile networks in the USA and Canada, the company said in a press statement.

The new subscription also allows unlimited calls to fixed-line networks in Romania, on certain days and time intervals.

Greek telecommunications group OTE owns a 54.01% stake in the company, while the remaining shares are in the hands of the Romanian state.
