Romanian Car Mkr Dacia To Halt Production Between Nov 20, Dec 7

Romanian car maker Dacia announced Monday it will halt production between November 20 and December 7, due to decreases in the local and foreign markets. Dacia previously used this measure for another four days, on October 30-31 and on November 13-14.

"Due to the brutal decreases in the auto markets, even though it is a success in export, where the market share is widening, as well as in Romania, Dacia is forced to halt production between November 20 and December 7, 2008," said a press release issued by Dacia.
 
The widening of the financial and economic crisis in October brought an important decrease in auto markets, including the Romanian one, Dacia said.
