Romanian social democrat leader Mircea Geoana said Tuesday, at the end of the meeting with the coalition partners in the Democratic Liberal Party, that the Ministry of Justice will be led by an independent minister, in accordance with the agreement between the social democrats and democrat liberals.

Geoana made this announcement at the end of negotiations on the structure of the new government.
 
"The Ministry of Justice will be led by an independent, in accordance with our agreement. Tomorrow we will have talks regarding the person to be nominated,” Geoana said, answering a question about the party to receive the justice portfolio.
