The three people who allegedly stole the car of Romanian Steaua Bucharest owner Gigi Becali in January were detained by police Tuesday morning after several searches at homes in Mogosoaia, about 10 kilometers outside of Bucharest.

Romanian Police Detain Alleged Thieves Of Steaua Owner’s Car

The searches were part of an investigation targeting a network specializing in luxury car theft. Police are looking for a stolen Porche, an Audi A6, a VolkswagenTouareg and two Mercedes.

Police detained a total of ten people who will be brought in for hearings.

Steaua owner Becali spent two weeks in jail alongside four of his bodyguards for the kidnapping of three people who allegedly stole his car. The court released Becali on probation on April 17.
