Romanian Police Suspects 470 People Of Multiple Voting
The Romanian Police sent Friday to the Standing Electoral Authority a list of 470 people suspected of multiple voting in the first round of the 2009 presidential elections, held Sunday, November 22.

The people in question were identified within checkpoints organized by the police Sunday, but also following specific activities unfolded on election day by employees of the Ministry of Interior, according to a press release issued by the Police.
The police asked the electoral authority to check the copies of the permanent electoral lists and the charts used in the polling stations, to identify potential cases in which one person voted more than once.
Investigations are ongoing and if further suspects surface, the data will also be sent to the Standing Electoral Authority for inspections.
