Romanian Prime Minister To Meet With European Parliament President On Wednesday

Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila will have a meeting with European Parliament President Antonio Tajani on Wednesday, during the Conference of European Parliament Presidents with the Romanian Government, the Romanian executive announced today.

The meeting will tackle Romania’s upcoming EU council presidency, which the country will take over for a six-month period starting with January 2019.

Alongside the European Parliament President, the conference will also be attended by the institution’s secretary-general, Klaus Welle, as well as the leaders of the nine European political groups, according to a press release issued by the Romanian executive.

The event’s schedule also contains a meeting between the delegations of the European Parliament and the Romanian Government.
