The Romanian Football Federation, or FRF, submitted on Monday its candidacy to organize the UEFA Cup final in 2011; thus, an UEFA commission is analyzing in Bucharest the file presented by FRF officials Mircea Sandu and Ionut Lupescu.

The march against discrimination and for the promotion of tolerance organized Satuday through the center of Romanian capital Bucharest ended without incidents, while the some 50 participants walked for two hours from Constitutiei Square to Alba Iulia Square and back.

Legal records will be issued on the spot throughout Romania, except in Bucharest, where the system is to be introduced early next year, while Romanian consulates in EU states will issue these records in 30 days at most, starting December.

Romanian president Traian Basescu sent to Parliament, for reexamination, the Referendum Law enacted with the amendment of social democrat MP Eugen Nicolicea, which mentioned the postponement of elections if a national referendum is called on the same day.

Romanian subway network operator Metrorex might hike the prices, starting with January 2008, while the prices for railway transport will remain unchanged, the Ministry of Transport announced Thursday.
