Romania, a tailwind in electric cars: only 3.0% of new registrations in 2024, below the EU average

Only 3.0% of new cars registered in Romania in 2024 were 100% electric, according to the latest Eurostat data. At EU level, the percentage was 13.6%, down from the previous year.

50 high-power charging stations for electric cars to be installed in Bucharest

Four electric cars and 750 hybrids have been registered and licensed in Romania, out of a total 134 electric vehicles and 756 hybrids, the Romanian Auto Registry told MEDIAFAX.
