Romanian lawmakers on Monday started debates on the no-confidence motion over the wage law for 2011, submitted in parliament by opposition liberals and social democrats last week, after Prime Minister Emil Boc sought a confidence vote to pass the bill into legislation.

Romanian Lawmakers Start Debates On No-Confidence Motion Over 2011 Wage Law

The opposition's no-confidence motion was read in Parliament on Thursday.

Earlier Monday, lawmakers read a second no-confidence motion submitted by the opposition over the public sector unitary wage law, which will be debated in Parliament Thursday morning.

The Parliament will also convene in a plenary meeting on Monday afternoon to debate the draft 2011 state budget law and draft social security budget law, which were approved by the Parliament's budget and finance committees on Sunday.
