The Romanian Government Is Dishonest – Romanian Pres

Romanian president Traian Basescu said Tuesday the Government is not honest, as, even though it opposes the increase of teacher salaries, it issued an Ordinance increasing the salaries of hospital managers, as well as an ordinance increasing 4.4 times the salaries in the National Housing Agency.

The head of state said he promulgated these laws late last week.
 
"Beyond skill, the ability to react, to have good management, what matters most for a Government is honesty towards all its citizens," Basescu said.
 
He added the Parliament understands the major difficulties faced by the education system as far as human resources are concerned.
