The Romanian president and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama adopted Tuesday in Washington a joint declaration on strategic partnership for the 21st century.
Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry state secretary Bogdan Aurescu said the joint declaration transposes for the first time in a bilateral political document the country’s strategic partnership with the USA launched in 1997, when former U.S. President Bill Clinton visited Bucharest.
