AH1N1 Flu In Romania: 197 New Infections, 2,455 Total Cases

The Romanian Health Ministry Tuesday confirmed other 197 new infections with the AH1N1 virus, bringing the total number of cases to 2,455, and most infections were registered in capital city Bucharest (77), Hunedaoara county (19) and Botosani (14).

According the Health Ministry, Iasi registered ten cases of infection with the AH1N1 virus, Bacau and Dolj counties (9 cases each), Vrancea county (8 cases), Dambovita and Hraghita (7 cases each), Ialomita county (6 cases), Calarasi (5 cases), Ilfov and Prahova (4 cases each), Cluj, Constanta and Mures (3 cases each), Sibiu and Suceava (2 cases each), Alba, Arad, Braila and Giurgiu counties (1 case each).

Several schools countrywide Tuesday suspend activities for seven days due to the spreading of the AH1N1 virus and other schools will be closed for a week starting today.
