All PSD MPs will donate 50% of the allowance for medical equipment

All PSD lawmakers will donate half of the allowance for the purchase of medical equipment. The decision has been taken on Wednesday by the party's National Executive Committee, which took place online.

PSD President Marcel Ciolacu announced that one of the decisions taken on Wednesday by the PSD National Committee is for social-democratic parliamentarians to donate half of their allowance for the purchase of medical equipment, in the context of the coronavirus epidemic.

"We had a video session with all the colleagues in the territory. I am glad that everyone understood that in this period we must be supportive. All PSD MPs have decided that they will donate 50% of their allowances to support the urgent purchase of medical equipment of the highest need", Marcel Ciolacu, PSD head, announced, at the end of the meeting.

He also called on president Iohannis and the Government to send kit tests to hospitals. "Most hospitals do not have coronavirus tests. There are counties that told us that there are many people who went out of quarantine and were not tested! It is very serious. That is why I am calling on the Government and president Iohannis from the mayors and the presidents of county councils to send urgent tests to hospitals", Ciolacu said.
