According to Romanian authorities in Budapest, the information regarding the arrest of a third suspect in the murder of Marian Cozma was not confirmed.

Bentze told MEDIAFAX the Hungarian Police arrested a second suspect, namely Nemeth Gyozgyo.

According to the Hungarian police, although the respective suspect did not commit the murder, he was part of the group that provoked the incident which claimed the life of the Romanian handball player.

Bentze confirmed that Raffael Sandor, one of the two main suspects, was arrested Sunday evening around 22.30 local time.

Bentze said the second suspect, Istvan Stojca, is free and wanted, and has not left Hungary, according to the Hungarian police.

The Hungarian authorities formed an operative team, and Romania is represented by the Interior Affairs attaché, whose activity is coordinated by Interior Minister Dan Nica.

Bentze said the Romanian Interior Ministry ensured the technical services the Hungarian part may request.

The repatriation of the body of Marian Cozma will be possible only after autopsy is completed.

According to Hungarian legislation, the autopsy procedure and the issuing of the death certificate may take up five days, but the attaché said he made efforts to speed things up and Cozma’s body will be brought to Romania Tuesday.

Cozma, aged 26, was killed Saturday night in a club in Veszprem, Hungary. Serbian Zarko Sesum and Croatian Ivan Pesic, other two players of the team MKB Veszprem, were involved in the incident.

Local press said Cozma was stabbed in the heart and was the only one who did not survive. The other team players were taken to hospital, as they were also stabbed and had severe wounds.

Cozma played for Romania’s national team in the World Championship in Croatia and before the transfer to Veszprem in 2006, he had played for Bucharest team Dinamo.
