Romanian capital Bucharest fell 55 places to 187th in a ranking of most expensive cities in the world for expat workers, according to a survey of human resources company ECA International.

Bucharest Falls 55 Places To 187 In World Priciest Expat Cities Survey

ECA’s 2009 Cost of Living survey noted Bucharest also dropped one notch to 70th among most European expensive cities for expats.
 
The survey saw Bucharest cheaper than Budapest in Hungary (which ranked 69th), Chisinau in Moldova (68th), Prague in the Czech Republic (61st), Sofia (48th), Bratislava (43rd) etc.
 
Angolan capital Luanda was voted world’s costliest city for foreigners the second year in a row, followed by four Japanese cities: Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama and Kobe, the survey noted.
 
European wide, Copenhagen in Denmark surpassed Norway’s capital Oslo as the most expensive city for expats.
