Government: Workers To Have Easier Access To Additional Pensions

Romania’s Government will pass during Friday’s cabinet meeting a bill which streamlines the process of gaining and keeping the right to additional pensions for retiring workers, according to Prime Minister Viorica Dancila.

“On the meeting’s agenda we have a draft bill which improves procedures to gain and maintain the right of workers to obtain additional pensions. Through the project we ensure the necessary framework to protect worker mobility which can be respected by any additional pension scheme, while not establishing a new pensions scheme in Romania,” the prime minister said at the beginning of Friday’s cabinet meeting.

The chief of cabinet also said that the bill will make it possible to add more favorable conditions regarding the additional pensions.
