Hungarian Minority Party Boasts About Stance On Kosovo Issue

Marko Bela, leader of the Hungarian minority party UDMR, on Saturday pointed out that the party he runs adopted a clear-cut stance on the Kosovo issue, just like the USA, Great Britain or France, unlike the Hungarian civil organizations which rather “stammered on the issue."

"We adopted a clear-cut stance on the Kosovo issue and so did the Romanian parties. However, UDMR’s stand happened to go in hand in hand with the stand taken by the some of the world’s powerful states, such as USA, Great Britain and France,” Marko said Saturday.

After the Romanian Parliament adopted a Declaration 357 to 27 votes, stating the country will not recognize the unilateral declaration of independence of Serbia’s breakaway province of Kosovo, Hungarian MPs voted against this document, stressing the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo is the only rational solution.
