Leonard Cohen To Hold Concert In Bucharest On Sept 4

Canadian musician Leonard Cohen will return for a concert in Bucharest this year, on September 4, after a sold-out show in the Romanian capital last year, organizers Events said Monday.

The concert will take place in the Constitution Square, near the Parliament building, and tickets will cost RON124, RON248 and RON399 depending on the seat. Tickets go on sale Tuesday on www.ticketpoin.ro, and will also be available as of Wednesday on www.eventim.ro, www.bilete.ro and www.blt.ro, as well as at Sala Palatului, the Diverta network of stores and Eventim sale points.

In autumn last year, Cohen celebrated his 74th birthday in Bucharest, where he sang for about 10,000 cheering fans. Last year’s concert was sold out relatively quick, leaving many fans disappointed.

"This year we picked a bigger location to allow everyone to see the concert,” said Events general manager Sorina Burlacu.
