Romania’s Petrom Cuts Pump Prices By RON0.05/Liter

Romania’s largest oil company Petrom (SNP.RO) cut Friday its gasoline and diesel oil pump prices by 0.05 lei (EUR1=RON4.2347) per liter, following the decrease of international quotations for crude oil products.

Thus as of Friday, one liter of unleaded Premium gasoline costs RON3.66, while one liter of unleaded Top Premium 99+ can be bought with RON4.03 per liter.

One liter of OMV Carrera 95 and of OMV Carrera 100 now costs RON3.80 and RON4.43, respectively.

The Top Euro Diesel 5/Top Nordic Diesel can be bought with RON3.63 per liter, while one liter of OMV Sprint Diesel costs RON3.68 per liter as of Friday.

Moreover, the price of Euro Diesel 5 and OMV Alpin Diesel dropped Friday to RON3.47/liter and RON3.96/liter, respectively.

Petrom is the largest corporation in Romania and the largest gas and oil producer in Southeastern Europe. In December 2004, Petrom was privatized and became a part of OMV AG (OMV.VI), which is the majority shareholder.
