Romania, Switzerland To Sign EUR130M Cooperation Agreement In August – Swiss Ambassador

Romania and Switzerland will sign a EUR130 million five-year agreement on August 26, for cooperation in various fields, including cyber crime fighting, Swiss Ambassador to Bucharest Livio Hurzeler said Tuesday.

Hurzeler said, during a conference on cyber crime held in Bucharest, that both the Swiss Embassy to Bucharest and the Swiss Government are willing to help Romania counteract cyber terrorism and reinforce cyber security.

During the meeting, officials with Romania's Justice Ministry and the Romanian-Swiss Multimedia Institute also signed a partnership to set up and carry out programs that aim to train specialists tasked with preventing and fighting cyber crime.
