Romanian Health Min To Temporarily Fill Labor Min Position

Romanian health minister Eugen Nicolaescu told MEDIAFAX Tuesday that he accepted the prime minister’s proposition and will also fill the position of labor minister temporarily.

Nicolaescu added that although he accepted the position, he considers appointing an interim is not the best solution for the Labor Ministry.

Labor minister Paul Pacuraru was suspended from his position amid corruption charges.

The presidential decree suspending Pacuraru from his position came into effect Tuesday afternoon, when the decision was published in the country’s Official Gazette.

Romanian President Traian Basescu signed the decree suspending Pacuraru on Monday.
