Romanian Justice Min To Be Reorganized; To Keep Two State Secretaries, One Undersecretary

Romania’s Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu on Monday said his ministry will be reorganized and a decision on the number of employees to be sacked will be made after the Government meeting next Wednesday.

Predoiu said upcoming layoffs will be made public within 14 days, adding the ministry will keep only two state secretaries and one undersecretary.

Prime Minister Emil Boc last week said the Government decided to reduce to two the number of state secretaries in each ministry, except those of Interior, Foreign Affairs and Finance, which will have three secretaries of state. Following the Government's decision, the total number of state secretaries would be reduced to 32 from the current 57.
