Romanian Nationals In UK Urge British PM To Lift Restrictions On Labor Mkt

Romanians said in their petition that they are fully aware of the efforts made by specialized institutions to collect information and statistical data to help the British government make a wise and good decision regarding the access of Romanian nationals to the British labor market.

“These work restrictions imposed on Romanian nationals prevent access to the labor market on an equal basis with UK or other EU nationals. Romanian nationals are precluded from getting jobs in the UK because employers are not willing to employ Romanians citing these restrictions even though they have the right documentation. These restrictions create unfair discrimination and push people to the black market. It is time the UK government stop these unnecessary and unfair restrictions,” the petition reads.
