Romanian NCO Injured In Military Drill Dies In Hospital

Romanian noncommissioned officer Gavril Nicorici, 26, died Saturday afternoon after being severely injured during a military drill on a shooting ground in Brasov county, central Romania, the Defense Ministry said in a press release.

Nicorici participated in a military drill alongside his 814 tank battalion and suffered a severe head injury while using a military device.

The NCO was rushed to the Emergency Hospital in Targu-Mures but doctors could not save his life.

According to the press release, a military expert team will run investigations into the accident.
