Romanian Postal Union Federation Wins RON11M Lawsuit Against Country's Tax Authority

The litigation set off in 2007 after the tax authority had conducted checkups on the union federation targeting the payment of the profit tax and the value added tax and had concluded that some expenses are not liable for deductions.

The union federation, legally represented by law firm Bostina si Asociatii, appealed the fiscal authority's taxation decision compelling it to make additional profit tax payments.

After nearly three years of litigation, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the union federation and annulled the authority's taxation decision issued in 2007.
