The sources said talks are scheduled at 3 p.m. next Monday.
The Romanian Parliament's standing offices have recently rejected the proposition of the ruling Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) regarding the setting up of a committee to revise the Constitution. Social Democratic Party and Liberal Party lawmakers, in opposition, voted against PDL's proposition.
Romanians were polled in a national referendum on November 21, 2009 and the majority voted to make the country's Parliament single-chamber and reduce the number of lawmakers to maximum 300 from the current 471.
