U.S. Giant Yahoo! Might Open Software Center In Romania Next Year

He said Yahoo! officials voiced interest in the development of the Romanian IT market during a meeting early November. “I believe Yahoo!’s possible operation in Romania would not be limited, as they wish to open in the region a software research and development center, which means bigger investments,” Somodi said.

IT&C sources on the Romania market told MEDIAFAX Yahoo! will make a public announcement regarding possible operations in the country early next year.

Yahoo! reported net profit of $151 million in the third semester of the year and revenues of $1.768 billion.

The company eyes overall revenues of approximately $5 billion by the yearend.
