The INFOTRAFIC Center announced on Monday that, in the context of the Code Red warning issued by the ANM, the traffic of trucks with a maximum authorized total weight of over 7.5 tons is prohibited on Monday, between 12:00 and 20:00, in 16 counties in the south and southeast of the country.

Romanian authorities issued a yellow code warning for heat for the weekend, valid for the capital city and for 11 counties, where they expect temperatures of 37 degrees Celsius.

The Romanian meteorological authorities (ANM) extended the yellow code warning for heat until Saturday for 14 counties and for the capital city Bucharest, expecting temperatures will continue to rise to 37-38 degrees Celsius.

Romania’s state-owned railway company CFR on Thursday said train drivers were instructed to reduce speed during daytime, when track temperatures can exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
