Romania’s women’s handball team lost the bronze medal on Sunday in the small finals of the World Championship, after it was defeated 36-35 in extra time by Germany’s team.

On Saturday Romania’s team was defeated 30-20 by Russia’s representative.

The final of the handball World Championship will be played on Sunday at 17:30 local time between Norway and Russia.

Romania’s team will return home on Monday at 22:25 local time on International Airport Henri Coanda.

For Romania, the game against Germany was the second in only four days that ended in extra time, after in the quarterfinals Romania defeated France following a rubber match.
