Bucharest Apartment Rents Fall By Up To 14% In 1Q – Survey

The rents for apartments in Romania’s capital city Bucharest dropped by up to 14% in the first quarter compared with the same period of 2010, with the largest fall in case of three-room flats, according to a survey of real estate website AnunturiParticulari.ro.

According to the website, about 2,100 rental offers were registered on the local market in March, lower from 2,519 offers in the same month a year earlier and 2,917 offers in March 2009.

In March, the average rent of a one-room apartment in Bucharest stood at EUR232 per month, almost similar with a month before but 11% lower compared with March 2010.

For two-room flats, the average rent was at EUR334 in March, down 9% on the year.

A three-room apartment in Bucharest was rented with EUR456 in average, down 14% from last March.

The average rental price of four-room apartments in Bucharest dropped at around EUR713 in March, from EUR754 a month earlier, the survey says.

Anunturiparticulari.ro was launched in 2001 by Agentie.NET, and monitors all real estate ads published by individuals in newspapers and on the internet.
